How generation is metered — what spends credits, and what you see before you commit.

Generation is metered in credits. Every plan comes with a monthly credit allowance, and every image, video, or 3D model you generate spends from it. Spend is bounded per month, not per day: there is no daily quota to run into and nothing to wait out at midnight — you decide how to spend the month’s allowance, across any mix of outputs you like.

What spends credits

Only generation spends credits. Browsing, editing, reviewing, delivering, embedding, and publishing back to your store are all free.

OutputWhat drives the cost
ImageA flat rate per image, whatever the preset or prompt.
VideoA rate per second, multiplied by the resolution you choose. Generated audio is included at no extra cost.
3D modelA flat rate per model — the most expensive single output Mocart makes.

The exact rates and each plan’s allowance are published on pricing, which also translates an allowance into plain outcomes — roughly how many images or short videos a month buys.

Before you generate

  • The creation row carries the cost of the run you have configured — the last token of its output readout, marked with the credit glyph:
  • Change the count, the duration, or the resolution and the number on the button changes with it — you are never quoted one price and charged another.
  • A bulk batch quotes its whole total before it is queued, so a large run can’t quietly drain the month.

Your balance

Your remaining balance sits in the account menu with a meter showing how much of the month’s allowance is left. When it runs low, Mocart says so before you start a run rather than failing one halfway through; if a run costs more than you have, the button tells you and offers the upgrade instead of trying.

Allowances renew with your billing period. If you need more headroom than a plan carries, upgrading raises the allowance — and Enterprise removes the ceiling entirely.
